The Latin peoples are those linguistic-cultural groups that speak one of the Romance languages; they are called this way because they speak languages descended from the vulgar form of Latin. Not because they supposebly descent from the Latins (Romans), because the overall majority of people with speaking a Romance language don't even come close to that.
